Biography"Jacob Wayne, a cousin of the famous General Anthony Wayne, was born in Philadelphia, January 4, 1760. At the age of twenty-five he was established as a cabinet-maker at Key's Alley and Front Street, where he continued to work until 1794. The following year his address was 166 North Front Street; here Wayne lived until his death in 1857, although his shop changed to No. 136 and later to 157 North Front Street.
